Quick Start Guide
Hello, and welcome to Knights of Nottingham! So you've just arrived at the site, and you're thinking about joining, and you're wondering what you should do. Here's some quick links to help you on your way:
Start by reading the Plot. It'll help you get situated and decide if you're interested in this kind of site!
Next, read the rules. They'll help you understand our expectations and figure out if the site is right for you.
Still with me? Third, check out the medieval tymes section. Unless you're a major history buff, this should help you get oriented! If you are a history pro, you can probably skip this step, although keep it in mind as a quick reference if you ever need it.
Now you're probably ready to check out the canon list, so you can see who's available, and figure out if there are any open canons you'd like to play!
If you're liking the looks of one of canons, make sure you mosey on over to the canon info page, so you can see if there's any juicy details about your character you might need to know. If you're thinking more along the lines of creating an original character, move on down to the next step!
If you want to get started with a character already involved in a plot, make sure you check out the subplots! Here are plots created by staff and members, or, once you've made a character, you can come back and create one of your own!
By now, you're ready for the application! Fill this baby in, and when you're ready, go ahead and post it in the Pending Applications section. If you want to post it before you're finished, make sure you write (Unfinished) or (WIP) in the title so we know not to check it yet!
Once you've posted your application, an admin will be sure to check it out ASAP and get back to you! If you're accepted, congratulations! If not, we'll send you a PM letting you know why, and giving you an opportunity to fix whatever's gone awry.
If you've made it this far, congratulations! You should now have an accepted character and be ready to start roleplaying on the forum! You can either jump right in, or check out the Plotting Section to brainstorm with other members and generate ideas for your characters! You can also make a stop in the graphics section if you need anything pretty to snazz up your profile or your posts with.
Happy roleplaying, everyone!
