Sir Guy of Gisbourne: What is your name?
Much-the-Miller's-Son: A better one than yours!
-Adventures Of Robin Hood (1938)
.:Name of Character:. Gweneveire the Potter's Daughter
.:Alias:. Gwen, Gawain
.:Birth Date:. January 4th, 1173
.:Age In 1192:. 19- | + | - Appearance - | + | -
Merry-Men: We're men. . . Men In Tights . . .
-Robin Hood: Men In Tights
.:Look:. Gweneveire is a small, slight girl with long brown hair coming past her shoulders. She is a pale girl, which is slightly surprising due to the years with her brother in the woods. But, there is one sign: calluses and small scars on her hands, with slight scratches around her ankle and feet. Gwen has icy blue eyes that can also range to a gray, but it depends really. Gwen has a fairly sizable scar on her arm from a violent run-in with a stag's antler.
She loves wearing green, and she adores dresses. She doesn't care if it's a dirty dress, a torn dress, or one too short, Gwen will love wearing it. And do you know what she loves wearing the most? A green dress. Now that will make her day. But, recently she has not been wearing a dress, nor anything green. Instead, she has worn brown boy's clothes; a slightly torn shirt and trousers. She also has a quiver caked with mud and berry steins (camouflage) constantly slung around her shoulder. On her head is a brown cap that hides most of her hair.
.:Height:. 64 inches
.:Portrayed by:. Anna Popplewell

Robin Hood: Fluently.
-Adventures Of Robin Hood (1938)
.:Basic Personality:. Gweneveire is a fairly simple soul. She doesn't want anything all that glitzy and glamorous, and she's willing to get dirty, too. But, Gwen is a type that is curious but timid; like an animal exploring it's new territory. But, when she is around people that know her and she knows them, Gweneveire proves to be have a rather weird sense of humor. Example: if a neighbor complains that someone slit his dog's throat in the middle of the night, Gwen will think: "Will it have trouble barking now?"
Sometimes it's funny, but sometimes it will make on worry about her.
Even though she's no leader, she's not a follower, unless she's following someone she actually likes. Once, Gwen was marketing with a grouchy elderly woman that pretty much dragged her to every market, babbling on and on about thing Gwen doesn't care. And all the time, Gweneveire was back-sassing the old lady, and continued to think bad things about her for at least an hour. So, she'll follow people, but sometimes it won't be with much respect. She also can hold a grudge, and when she has an opportunity may just hold someone to it.

Robin of Loxley: Nothing is forgotten. Nothing is ever forgotten.
-Robin Of Sherwood (1984)
.:Birthplace:. A cottage in Nottingham
.:Family:.
Father
Lot the Potter - Died of a fever
Mother
Sadie - Presumed dead, but is actually under another alias in an unknown location
Older Brother
Agravaine - Killed in a battle during the Holy War
.:History:.
Gweneveire was born to Lot and Sadie, who owned a pottery shop. She had an older brother named Agravaine, and the two were the best of friends. They were a relatively happy family, until their father became sickly and couldn't work. Agravaine was happy to take on the family business while Lot stayed in bed with a crippling fever. But, there was a problem: Agravaine wanted to go to war, to fight in the Crusades, and he was the kind of boy that didn't let anything get in his way of the things he knew were right.
So, Agravaine (being a bit of an archer himself), took Gwen out to the woods with a trainee's bow, and taught her how to shoot. When she got that down, Agravaine showed her how to hunt, and how to be stealthy and silent. And then, they went poaching. It did not start well. Gwen aimed at a stag, and missed completely. The stag realized where the arrow come from, and charged, making a scar on her arm with his antler. It was up to Agravaine and his knife to take down the stag with a now slit throat. When they got home that day, there bellies would be filled, but Agravaine was very unhappy with Gwen, and made sure he showed it. The next day, they weren't on speaking terms.
Eventually, Gwen got the whole poaching thing down. Agravaine, seeing this, left to fight in the Crusades. And so, Gwen started poached for the family.
And then they got the news: Agravaine was dead, killed in a battle. A day later, Sadie left in her grief, and has not been seen by any people in the Nottinghamshire county ever since. It took a few weeks, but eventually Lot had to go to, and Gwen was alone. She became a beggar and a poacher. And eventually a thief. Gweneveire was found pick-pocketing a rich-looking man on the street, and was chased down for the evil deed. Before Gwen managed to escape, she heard someone cry out: "I hope you burn, outlaw!"
It made Gwen think. What if she could join that band, those "Merry Men," or whatever they are called? And so, Gweneveire risked stealing some clothes meant for boy's and a brown cap before running to the woods, a quiver of arrows and a bow slung around her shoulder.
