Nottingham Castle has some of them highest walls Robert had ever seen, and if he had not needed the stealth of entry to get what he came here done then he would have just set fire to it and moved on. However, he was climbing it for he did not want to happen to pass by any guards while trying to enter. Whom every had the first idea of climbing the castle wall; to sweep the girl of her feet was a idiot.
Still, it was at lest working. He reached the highest window and paused to look in before though his body over the bottom of the window and rolling into the floor. His arms hurt from the climb up and he was more then slightly out of breath.
After a few minutes of laying there, he sat up and took a good look around. It appeared to be some sort of guest room; for it was empty of everything but a bed and even that had no sheets on it. Robert forced him self up and walked silently over to the door before pressing his ear to it; then slipping out of the room.
There would be less guards on this floor; as they did not really think anyone would make it up past all the guards at the bottom levels. Pulling his cloak around his shoulders and pulling up his hood he turned right and started casually walking down the hall. 'Robin' had come calling to Nottingham; and he aimed to misbehave.

The height of the castle walls had never been lost on Marian, but neither had it ever provided a suitable obstacle to keep her from finding a way out whenever she so desired. Tonight was such a night; she was feeling restless, and it had been a while since she'd sneaked out in the middle of the night, she could use the excitement. So she donned the boy's leather trousers, loose cotton shirt and tunic she'd nicked from the castle's wash earlier in the day, slung her bow and quiver over her shoulder and tucked a dagger into her belt, and...waited. She could still hear the guards at the bottom of the tower stair's joking and laughing when she pressed her ear to the door.
Marian's room was located in one of the castle's higher towers, and everyone who lived there knew why; there was only one way out, and a way that happened to be directly on the guard's patrol route. Well, unless she felt like defying death and attempting to climb down from the window, but as she paused there and threw a cursory glance down to the ground, so very, very far below, she decided that it probably wasn't worth it just yet. She might love a good risk, but she wasn't suicidal. Pacing around her room, she waited until the laughter died down, and the guards moved off.
Opening the door quietly, she darted down the stairs as soon as she was sure that the way was clear, taking the shadowy route that she knew the guards wouldn't take. They were all very predictable, and she had long ago figured out exactly what paths they would take. Which was why she was very surprised when she turned a corner, and came to a full stop when she saw a tall, hooded figure strolling casually down the middle of the passage. She scowled, there shouldn't be anyone else here at this hour...so who the hell was this? "Who the hell are you and what are you doing here?" Well, she'd never know if she didn't ask.

So that was why women did not wear pants. Robert's eyes caught the almost boyish figure coming toward him until he noticed a few details of the same figure. A few rather delicious details. He did notice that she was armed, and that she spoke rather boldly to him; which meant he was not the only one up to some trouble tonight. A fellow thief? If so one he was sending back to her mama as soon as possible.
"Come now, my lady;" He began to speak letting his voice turn charming. He also knew she wasn't a lady of the court. What lady would dress as such, and leave her room unaccompanied in the middle of the night. None. "Surely you know better manners that this?"
He moved closer, keeping his hood low over his face and tilting slightly so that the torches that lit the hallway cast shadows over his face. Once he was closer, he took at her face better. Her features were to aristocratic to be a common farm girl. Some nobleman's bastard most likely; and dressed as she was she looked younger then her face hinted she might be.

Marian recognized the telltale charm that entered his voice as he approached her, so he was some kind of a noble, skulking around the castle late at night for whatever reason. He must be a guest of the sheriff's, because she didn't recognize his voice, and if he'd been here for any length of time, he'd already be trying to send her back to her room. People didn't remain at ther castle long without learning about Marian's penchant for doing things she oughtn't.
But if he were a noble, why was he hiding his face? "Should I curtsey and scrape for a man who seems to be ashamed of his own face?" She replied, her tone sweet but laced with edges of venom, her lips turning up into a wicked smile. "Then again, I'm sure there's good reason for that." Implying that he was too hideous to show his face to anyone; why else would a noble wear a hood? Unless...
She'd heard the rumors, despite the Sheriff's insistence that it was nothing she need pay mind to, she'd heard the snickers of servants and nobles alike as they joked about his inability to deal with a mere outlaw...an outlaw who used to be noble. She'd only met that man once, briefly, and at the time she hadn't thought to pay him any more mind than she would anyone else. If this was him, she doubted he'd recognize her, either; she'd been all dolled up for court at the time, hair coiffed, ridiculous dress and all, a far cry from what she was wearing now. As he came closer, she held her ground, unwilling to back down, but her hand went to the hilt of her dagger warningly. "Are you going to answer me, or shall I scream for the guards?" If he were a visiting noble, guards wouldn't bother him, but if he weren't....

If she was willing to call the guards, then she was not an intruder. No noble would want his bastard under foot this close to where his wife or legal children might be so it meant either he was way off on what she was; or way off on who she was. Either way, the little chit was getting a little to bold for Robert's taste and he knew just how to remind her just what her little place in this relationship was. With years of battlefield experience, Robert was quick if not the the strongest of the men he served with.
He reached over, quickly to grab her wrist of the hand that on resting on her dagger, rather hoping that she would be experienced in hand to hand fighting, or that he had the element of surprise to keep her from struggling to hard. He used it to spin her around and pin her to the wall, his chest to her back; and his hand around her thin neck so if he squeezed a bit her air supply would be cut off. The hand that he had grabbed, was held away from their bodies. He did not look down to see if she had managed to hang on to the dagger or not; he only held the wrist in a tight grip just in case she had the dagger in her hand.
"Do it my lady," He taunted her in a whisper near her ear, "Scream for me." At the same time, he tightened his hold on her neck in a warning of what could happen. He did not like hurting girls, but if she wanted to dress like man, and talk to him like a man, then she damn well had better learn to deal with his actions like a man.

Marian didn't expect him to be so fast, nor did she have enough combat experience to know how to stop him even if he weren't. None of the men around here would let her spar with them, afraid they would hurt her, so she didn't exactly have a lot of chance to practice. She tightened her hand around the hilt of the dagger and pulled it from the sheath, but too late, as he already had his hand wrapped around her wrist and was easily shoving her up against the wall. She still had one hand free, but with her weapon in the hand he was holding, and she came to one conclusion: she needed to start carrying two daggers.
But for the moment, she needed a new solution, and with the way his hand was wrapped around her neck, she doubted it involved the guards. At least now she knew he wasn't a guest of the sheriff. She turned her head to look back over her shoulder at him, his face still obscured by the hood. A man in her situation might struggle to get free; but Marian wasn't a man, and for all that she might dress like one, she was well aware of it. But when the bandit leaned in to whisper in her ear, his words gave her an idea, one a man would never dare to try. If she could only distract him....
Letting her eyes flicker up to the shadowed mass that was where his face should be, she turned the corners of her lips up slightly, and rotated her hips back. With how he was pinning her, his body was pressed close enough to hers that when she moved her tightly-clad curves rubbed against him, and she let a soft sigh, almost inaudible, escape her slightly-parted lips. "Ooh, I would, but I think you'd enjoy that too much." She replied, her tone also teasing, and more than a little seductive.

Oh, she was a bold little minx. He chuckled ass he twitched her charming little hips and attempted to make him get all forgetful. Not that it was not close to working for the banter they were exchanging was rather enchanting and her hips were almost aligned with an area of him that did think for it's self; but he was not as easy prey as some of the mindless men around.
He ground his back, using his own hips to pin her closer to the wall. "You should know, if you offer something like that again; I will take it." He warned her, decided lady or noble bastard or bar maid; he did not care. Surely she was no innocent if she were teasing this way.
"If we are about to be intimate," He taunted her, "Then perhaps we should be exchanging names?" After all, he was not such a cad that he would not learn her name first. He tossed back his head in a movement to shake off his hood so he could look down at her fully, and she could see his face. "I am Robin of the woods, my lady; and you are?" Robin, not Robert. Not any longer; Robert had died when he'd killed the sheriff's men. He had wanted to put some distance between Robert the noble and Robin the outlaw. So he'd taken a shorter name; one that was almost peasant sounding. It ended up doing not one whit of good, for everyone seemed to know that Robert was Robin.

Marian almost pouted when her efforts appeared to be for naught; whoever he was, he had more self control than the average guardsman, which was unfortunate. "Is that a threat...or a promise?" She asked in a soft purr, fluttering her eyelashes innocently up at him. Marian was a tease; an expert at seducing men, leading them on, and giving them nothing. For her, it was all about the teasing, and never the pleasing.
"Not one for much romance, are you?" She laughed softly when he asked after her name, she supposed that was something, but not enough if he wanted Marian. "You could at least buy a girl a drink first." So he was the infamous Robin Hood. That was interesting, at least. She contemplated giving him her name, searching his face for a moment before she answered. "Rachel," she answered innocently, lying more for the sake of lying than for any other reason.
"So why are you here? Besides to steal the virtue of innocent young women, of course." She was very casual and calm for a woman who was being held against her will, with a strange man murmuring lewd comments in her ear, literally being crushed between a rock and a hard place. The way he'd positioned his hips after her attempt to chase away his rationality made it impossible for her to shift her hips as she had before, but Marian wasn't one to give up so easily.

"It's anything you want it to be, darling." He told her sound half distracted as he shot a glance down the hall one way then the next. He did not have allot of time and while keeping her like this was both pleasurable; and kept her out of trouble it made it damn hard to get out of it with out her stabbing him. Next time; more thinking, less playing.
"I live in the forest with deer and rouge men. I don't have time for romancing the ladies; just an occasional quickie." He told her while watching her face just to see if she blushed or not. "You'd have gotten a drink if you looked more like a girl and less like the stable boy." He mouthed off to to irritated her. Rachel was it? He'd not heard of any Lady Rachel, she she must be a noble man's bastard who just got lucky in getting a job in the castle.
Her soft looks and teasing voice was not effecting him, but the dagger in her hand was not unforgotten. He knew he would be having dreams of them eyes tonight; and all the things you could do with lips like them. Something that did not involve pants; or manhandling. Unless she liked that sort of thing. He rip on her neck softened the barest bit, but he was ready to put it back should she start the maidenly screaming. "I highly doubt there is a virtue at stake with bold lass like yourself; but I will make you a deal. Drop the dagger, and I will let your wrist go. Then we can deal with the rest of you."

Marian noticed how distracted he was, and realized that he wouldn't know that the guards didn't come patrolling this way. He hadn't had all her experience lurking about the castle after hours, after all. Good. Let him think that he was about to be caught with his pants down, it might make him sloppy. She just laughed at his comments at romance. "Oh, you are quite the charmer, I can tell." Her tone was laced with sarcasm, and she had to wonder if he actually won women over with lines like that.
"So women you buys drinks for...but boys you just force up against a wall. I suppose now I understand why you live alone in the woods with just men." She teased cruelly, turning his words back on him and questioning his tastes rather lewdly. If he was going to try and irritate her, she would respond in like.
"I don't know what you mean; I am a good girl." She replied, her tone suddenly all innocence when he questioned her virtue, although it was almost a joke at this point. She wasn't really trying to defend her own honor; she didn't care what he thought of her virtue, and whether or not it was intact. She considered his offer, not relishing the idea of being defenseless and unarmed, especially when he already had the advantage. Besides, he was only offering to release her wrist; so he'd still have her pinned and have a hold of her throat. "And what exactly will you do with the rest of me?"

Oh ho! Point for the little lass in pants! He called her a boy and she accused him of preferring boys. She was quick witted if not overly bold with a tongue that could slit a mans neck if he did not watch him self. "Stop your mouthing or I will show you how I know the difference." As a hint to what he meant he pulled her head back so she arched slightly and stole a glance down her shirt.
Dropping her back to how they'd just been he chuckled "I don't the stable boy has a pair of them!" He taunted her. When she claimed she was a good girl he outright laughed. "Oh I believe you." He lied "I would ask who's room you were coming from and who pays your bills for I am afraid I lack the give a damn and the time--" as he spoke his hand tightened over her wrist; he did not not want to bruise her but he even less wanted to be stabbed. His voice grew lower and more forceful as well; loosing the carefree charm he normally held. "--so I am only going to ask this once more. Drop. The. Dagger."
He did not know when the next patrol would come but he planned to be in and out before they got back. Which meant; no matter how good she felt pressed into him he could not stay to sample the goods. He needed to be away from here.

So she'd struck a nerve there. Men were so very sensitive when it came to what was in their pants. She let him tilt her head back, her eyes following his as he leaned in to examine her more closely. "I'll trust you to be the authority on anything the stable boy may or may not possess." She replied, not seeming very perturbed that he was ogling her...why should she care about that anymore than the fact that he was pinning her to a wall, her body flush with his? She continued to tease him despite his warning; he'd have to do better than that if he was going to convince her that he wasn't sly.
She heard the disbelief in his tone even as he claimed to believe her, but she didn't care enough to even set him straight when he started wondering just who she belonged to. Marian didn't belong to any man, and that was exactly how she liked it. His tone grew more grave, however, and Marian knew that he wasn't joking or playing around anymore; he was being deadly serious. Even so, there was a part of her that balked at being given orders by this man, and she knew she couldn't just give in. Even if it meant she'd get hurt. She was too stubborn for her own good.
Struggling seemed pointless, since he seemed only marginally less solid than the wall he was holding her against. "I will...if you let me off this wall first." She seriously doubted he'd take her up on that offer, but it was worth a shot; he could hold her wrist until she dropped the dagger, but she wasn't giving up her only edge for nothing.

Robert honestly thought about slamming her little wrist on the stone wall he was pressing her into; and the only reason he did not was because it was so small under his own. As it was he was willing to pretend to give an inch; in order to gain the clear exit. He pulled her more tightly ageist him and took a step away from the wall.
Both hands, however; tightened on the skin they held on to. "Your off the wall, lass; time to keep your word." He'd give her about 30 seconds to drop the damn thing before she'd be back up ageist the wall; and this time not in a teasing way. He'd do her a small about of harm if it meant no one died. Especially himself.
Once she dropped it, he stilled needed an exit plan. He had to let her go and she was still armed with the bow. Which meant while he could get away; she had long range capability. How good of a shot could she be? He eyes fell to her uniform, and he was willing to bet she was not untrained with a bow. Surely not as good as some of the men he fought with but, she would know how to shoot.

She was surprised when he was actually willing to step away from the wall, but not so much that she was going to let the opportunity go to waste. Feigning obedience, she let the dagger fall from her hand, hoping he'd be distracted enough making sure she was doing as she was told that he wouldn't notice what her other hand was doing. Moving quickly, she reached up to grab him by the arm that was on her throat, digging her nails into his arm and pulling it away, so that she could step out of his hold.
He still had a hold of her wrist, but at least he couldn't threaten her life any longer. "Time to keep yours; let me go." She replied, on guard in case he tried to grab her again. Marian had had enough of being forced up against the wall for one night. She didn't know if he would keep up his end of the bargain; her yanking herself free from his hold hadn't been anywhere in the deal either, but she didn't like being made to feel helpless.
If he ran, she could always shoot him; her skill with a bow was much more refined than her skill with a dagger. But Marian wasn't sure she wanted to kill him; he had been creating quite the distraction for the sheriff lately, and as much as he'd annoyed her tonight, distracting the sheriff meant she had more time to herself, to do whatever she wanted while he was busy chasing bandits out in the woods. Damn little hell cat! He let out a muttered curse when the said hell cat used her claws on his arm. He let her neck go, as he was planning to do it anyway but not her wrist. He would have let her go without much fuss had she not gotten so damn high and mighty with him with her demands. While Robert was not the type of man who thought women should be seen and not heard a little less mouth would be nice.
His next few actions took only seconds; and came out slightly more forceful then he intended. Using the wrist he held, he gave it a hard yank so she would fall forward and right as she did he stole a half second kiss while his free hand reached behind her to grasp the arrows on her back and pull them free; before he let her go and pushed her away.
He took a few steps away and bend to quickly pick up her dagger. Weaponless--so he hoped-- she could not attack him as he walked away. "I wish I could say it was a pleasure but--well, actually it was a bit fun." He taunted. He keep backing away down the hall as he spoke and pulled his hood over his head. "But I down have time to teach you the difference between a lady and a man--since your obviously confused--as I have a sheriff to awaken, guards to annoy, and gold to steal." He gave her a mocking bow before tossing her weapons out the window he was passing and turning to attempt his grand exit.
