To say he was not aware of both her and the knife would would an out right lie, even while he as doing his best to pretend that she not affecting him in any way. He failed slightly, when her fingers made a little trip but he could play that game. "I'm not so sure the skirt suits me." "I am not quite sure either, you should take it off and give me something to compare it too." He taunted.
He depended for a moment of using the tree and rope to hold him and his legs to hold her, but decided not to risk it. If the rope broke, it would all the more fun, but if they held and it was his arm that broke then that might be a bit embarrassing. Besides, with out his hands free who knew where the blade might end up.
He paused his twisting actions when he gave her little warning. Bitch, she better not be around when he finally got free of this. He was going to do a bit more then just teach the sheriff's mistress a lesson. "You have my attention." And he was making plans to return the favor.

She couldn't help but smile a little at his suggestion, even tied up and without his clothes, a blade at his throat, he had the balls to be mouthy with her. She couldn't decide if he was brave or just stupid, and either way, she wasn't sure she cared. It was...amusing. "Maybe I'll think about it." She replied teasingly, although they both knew that wasn't real likely. She had the upper hand right now, she wasn't about to even the playing field, even if he was still tied up.
When he stopped struggling, she smiled sweetly, as though she weren't currently holding him hostage with a blade to his delicate bits. Then she started moving her hand up again, lifting it off his leg to his torso, running the tips of her fingers over his abs and his chest, stopping at his collarbone, letting her gaze follow their path. When she stopped her fingers, she moved her eyes up to meet his, an idea coming to her. "Last time we met, you stole something from me. I just want it back." She spoke, moving her hand up to his jaw and tilting his head down, as she leaned up to kiss him.
After a moment, she pulled back, and stepped away from him, giving him a smug look as she backed away. "Give my best to your men when they find you. And be sure to apologize to Ed for me!" She said flippantly, picking up the rest of his clothes as she went. At least then, if he managed to get free, he'd still have to wander the woods in the nude. She left him his boots, though...wouldn't want his feet to get cold. She gave him one last parting wink before she started running, heading back to the castle at long last, satisfied with her revenge.

He had more or less expected this to be the end of their meeting. She was aiming a bit below the belt by going for his pride but he could play that game a bit better then playing the steal game against his favorite parts. He was going to hunt her down however, and next time he not going to underestimate her. No more playing with a girl with this one. Oh no, she wanted to play with men, he'd play with her using the rules of war.
"See you soon." He called after her, as she was walking int he distance. He had purpose waited until she'd gotten far enough away that if she did turn around it would take her a walk to get to him. With his raised voice however, he knew his men would hear as well. While they might not be running his way, they'd be here soon. He wanted her to get away this time, this game was a two player game.
She had not shied away from him which only confirmed to him she was some man's mistress. Being she was out riding with the sheriff that meant she was more then likely his. It suited him all the more. Oh yes, over the next few days he was going to learn everything he could about this Rachael . . . . . . . . . . .

It had been a few days since Marian's 'adventure' in the woods. She'd stashed Robin's clothes near the edge of the woods, not so he'd find them eventually, but so that she wouldn't return to the castle carrying an armful of men's clothes. She did, however, keep his dagger, hidden in her boot, and the bow which had made him so famous. No one was surprised to see Marian carrying a bow, and if anyone noticed that it wasn't the one she had left the castle with, they didn't say anything. Most of the castle was surprised when she returned, and many wondered how she'd gotten away; she'd only say that she ran.
Frankly, she was getting bored, as she paced the circumference of the tower room she called her own. The Sheriff seemed to have learned from his foolish foray in the forest, and had yet to make another move against the bandits, despite complaints from the nobility. He had tightened the castle's security, however, making it more difficult for Marian to sneak out whenever she wanted to. She gave a sigh, deciding against trying to get away for tonight. Maybe tomorrow she'd be in a mood to cause trouble in the village.
Yawning, she changed from her dress into a plain nightgown, brushing her hair quickly before putting her brush on her dressing table and picking up a dagger instead. It was the one she'd stolen off of Robin, saving her from having to buy a second one like she'd planned. Sitting down on the bed, she placed the dagger under her pillow...just in case. She'd caught Robin's warning before she'd run off the other day, but he'd yet to make an appearance. She didn't -think- he could break into her room...but all the same. Then she laid down and drifted off to sleep.

Over the next few days Robert was going to learn everything he could about this Rachael. At lest that had been the plan and the plan had failed. No one knew a Rachael whom the sheriff spent time with in a 'certain way'. No one had even heard of her, which meant she was lieing about her name. Of coarse she was. The closest he got was when he was asking a maid about his 'mystery girl' and claimed she had 'stolen his heart'. The maid had blushed and gushed and said it sounded like Lady Marian, but she could not be sure. When he said she was a bit of a 'wild flower' the maid stopped blushing and said 'Oh yes, Lady Marian is just that.'
Later that night he entered the castle in his 'usual' means and went to the room the maid told him to look in. He used her window to enter the room, as he was sure that the door would be either locked or guarded. Once in, he moved to rest on the window seal for a moment as it was a long climb, and not his favorite way to enter a room. While there he looked around, taking in everything around. The first thing he did, was move over to the bed and look at the sleeping girl. Oh yes, he grinned, he'd found his little package of trouble.
The next half hour was one of painful silence and slow work. First, he had to make sure the door was locked, and could not be easily unlocked. Next, he took all her jewels, and anything that looked of value and put it in a bag, before sitting it on the window, so he could grab it on the way out. His exit, was in the form of a very think rope, tied to the door and would allow him to slide down it rather the climb down the bricks. He also, reclaimed his bow, but not his dagger as he wasn't really sentimental over something that had been that close to cutting off his favorite parts.
Lastly, he used the bit of rope he brought in to make four little hangman type nooses. Slipping one gently over her wrist and ankles, so the harder she pulled the tighter it would become. He had been forced to move at a painfully slow and gentle manner in order to not risk waking her. The rope around her four corners were not tied to anything but wrapped around the bed post. This would let him pull them tight, and upon his exit she would be free. He wanted her to be able to raise the alarm so that he could provide the distraction his men needed to do their job tonight.
Moving a chair closer to the bed, he sat backwards on it and then pulled the rope tight so that all her limbs were now spread wide and tight. At lest he'd left her dress on, a favor she had not granted him. "Hullo, love." He greeted upon her awake.

Marian hadn't realized what a sound sleeper she was, until she was suddenly being jerked awake, inhaling sharply as her eyes opened wide. She became immediately aware that her wrists and ankles were bound with a rough, stinging rope, and that she couldn't move. Oh god...the Sheriff was finally tired of her teasing. She didn't realize how wrong she was until she lifted her head to try and get some idea of what was going on. When she laid eyes on Robin, she rolled her eyes and let her head fall back onto the pillow, sighing and trying not to sound relieved. As crazy as it seemed, she'd rather have the bandit tie her to her bed and have his way with her than the Sheriff. She was kinda tweaked, she decided.
"Somebody's been busy." She commented drily, pulling one of her wrists slightly to test the bonds. He was holding them...she supposed that meant he wasn't going to try anything, which was slightly comforting, although she didn't like being in this situation. "So, what now?" She asked, turning her head to look at him, swallowing the panic that had risen up when she'd woken up. She supposed this was his way of getting vengeance for her tying him up in the woods...at least he hadn't taken her dress.

It was disappointing that she did not look the least bit afraid. He had wanted her a bit more of a girl like distress from her but he should have known better, she didn't even know she was a girl. It was these thoughts that changed his plan around. he had planned to sit there and have a 'conversation' with her, and give her a message to give to the sheriff. Oh the political ammunition he had with the knowledge that the sheriff and a Duke's daughter were having a bit of out of wedlock fun.
He kicked the chair out from under him, and tied off the rope on the bed post. Climbing over her and moved to lie on his side behind her, since it wasn't like she could stop him. Now she could not get free, and he was access to everything a man could want. She could whore for the sheriff, she could do it for him too. "I thought we could have a little chat, and see about reminding you that you are in fact a girl." He paused, looking at her for a moment, "Aren't you?"
He did not move to touch her, for Robert was raised a noble man and forcing him self on a woman wasn't something he could just do. He was however, not above bondage and threatening. And a bit of looking. He reached up with a finger and pulled her dress out just enough to peek down it. "You look like a girl, but you seem to have forgotten."

Oh, now he was angry. If Marian was honest, she was afraid as he tied the ropes off, because here she was, completely at his mercy, and it seemed like she had made him angry. Still, she didn't want to let him see that she was afraid, so she pushed her emotions down, letting her false bravado cover for her. Her eyes went wide when he climbed onto the bed over her, faltering for a second, but then he moved to lay down next to her, and she breathed a little sigh of relief. She turned her head to look at him again.
"What, no candles? Not very romantic." She raised her eyebrows at him, still trying to sound braver than she felt. She ignored his question about whether or not she was a girl, he knew very well what the answer to that was, and if he was uncertain, it seemed like he was pretty close to finding out for himself. "You still haven't bought me that drink, you know...and I'm wearing a dress and everything." She criticized, purposely keeping her voice light.

He let go of the edge of her dress and let his hand come to rest low on her belly, and his other hand prop up his head. It was really a pity he had only moments more with her. He should have worked quicker and spend more time in bed with her. This was the perfect to keep a woman. Tired up in bed. "If you want a man to buy you a drink, maybe you should try to be a bit more lady like . . . Marian." He tested out her name, to see if the maid was right in what she told him.
Not Rachael, Marian. Lady Marian, a duke's wild daughter whom no one liked to be around; if the maid was to believed. He could see that. Her making all the men feel like fools. He however, was having a bit of fun with her so far.
Yes, a very bit pity that he could not stay longer. "I really must be going soon, but I figured now that you've seen me naked it would rather rude to visit my good friend the Sheriff and not drop in for a visit with you." The hand on her belly pressed down slightly before skimming up over her, pausing for a half second over one of her breast and then going up to cup her neck. Leaning over her, he stole a kiss; but not daring to make it a real kiss. She might bite him the little hellcat.
Pushing off the bed, and then breaking the kiss he picked up his leather gloves and slid them on before pulling out his new dagger from his boot. "Any last words?" He taunted as the blade skimmed her dress.

Marian tensed up when she felt his hand on her, but she forced herself to relax somewhat when he only touched her stomach, not venturing to the more sensitive areas above and below. "But where's the fun in that?" She replied when he told her she ought to be more ladylike...he seemed obsessed with getting her to act like everyone else, but Marian got bored when expected to do needlework or sit around gabbing with the other noblewomen, or, worst of all, stroking some knight's ego in the hope that he marries you.
Well, he had figured out her real name. She wasn't really surprised...he'd found her room, after all, it didn't seem so farfetched that he'd found her name, too. She inhaled sharply when he started moving his hand. "How thoughtful of you," she replied sarcastically when he told her why he was visiting. It figured he was robbing the Sheriff again, he didn't seem to like to give the man more than a few day's peace at a time. Then he was kissing her, and Marian couldn't bring herself to protest. He'd broken into her room, tied her up, but then hardly touched her at all...when he could've done anything he wanted.
Marian raised a confused eyebrow at him when he pulled out his dagger, threatening not her virtue, but her life. She knew this should've been when she was afraid. "So...you went to the trouble of tying me up like this...so you could kill me?" She frowned. "...Are you sure you don't prefer boys?" If these were her last words, she was going to spend them annoying him.

Robert had been not really been threatening her life, but the life of her dress. However the fact that she thought it was her life on made his job more fun. Her next words however did not. Had he more time he'd have given the sheriff's whore a bit of prove of just how much he liked girls. Even the mouthy ones. As it was he used the tip of his dagger to split the top if the dress open, exposing her breast before leaning down for another kiss. "One day, sweetheart, I am going to take you up on that challenge."
With that he used the dagger once more to cut the tie of one of her hands, knowing while she free's her self she could get away. Then he moved over to the window quickly picking up her bag of jewels before calling back at her. "You can tell the sheriff that I will be in the market tomorrow! That I will see him then!" He was just rubbing it in the sheriff's face that he could not catch him with that remark. Disappearing over the side he made quick work at getting down; even getting slight rope burn though the gloves, before going off to help his men hoping she'd raise the alarm there.
Tomorrow he would be in the market. He planned to go and remain mostly out of sight while watching how the guards moved when on guard for something. He wanted to learn their movements. Know every detail about how to ruin them.

She watched as the tip of the dagger moved up to the neck of her dress, inhaling deeply, until he slit the dress, and not her flesh with it. How very like a man. "One day," She challenged with a smile. No, she didn't really think he was sly; the way he looked at her was enough to confirm that. But she liked the way it put him off balance when she suggested it. Even when she was the one who was tied to a bed.
She was surprised when he freed her wrist, and immediately went for the dagger stashed under her pillow. By the time she had it in hand, however, he was already at the window, giving her a 'message' for the sheriff. He wanted to go shopping with the man? Yet more evidence for his interest in the gentlemen. Well, in any event, Marian was no messenger. He could just make due without the sheriff there to irritate for one day.
Once he was out the window, she hurriedly set about to cutting her bonds, freeing herself as quickly as she could, then going to the rope he was using to climb down. She didn't know if he was still on it...and she didn't care. She cut the rope, watching as it fell out the window before she leaned out over the window ledge to watch it fall down the side of the tower. It was too dark for her to watch it go all the way down, but she didn't think he was still attached to it...he didn't scream or yell if he was, in any event.
The next day, the Sheriff had no idea of Marian's late-night visitor, nor of the message she'd received. As far as she knew, he was still tucked up in bed as she made her way down to the market, wearing a simple dress with her hair loose around her shoulders. She wasn't sure why she'd bothered coming...although she did need to buy a new bow. So she headed to the craftman's stalls, looking over the variations that were available, both ornate and plain, being particularly choosy today.

None of the guards were looking for him! Not only had she failed him by NOT raising the alarm when he'd left the room, but the guards were all relaxed! How was he supposed to learn or annoy when she was not doing her job!! Damn woman! It was bad enough that she was giving what he wanted; especially after seeing down her dress; but now she was not even going her job!
With his hood up and cape around him, he walked causally down the market walk. He would pause to speak with a few people, seeing if they heard any news; and passing off a few coins here and there to the ones with younger kids. He didn't live giving them away but it made them more willing to not help the sheriff hunt down.
Pausing at one of the stalls he scanned his eyes around. Then he found her. Her back was to him, and he just glared at her for a moment. After that moment he slowly walked over to stand beside her, "Needle point is more lady like. That way when you get married off, you can sew his clothing."

She was examining a plain long bow when she heard his voice next to her, glancing towards him for a second before she went back to looking at the bow, running her fingertips along the curved wood. "Noblewomen don't sew. That's what servants are for." She pointed out distractedly, setting the tip of the bow on the ground so she could test the spring of it, leaning her weight on it. Too stiff, she decided, putting it back and selecting another for perusal.
"Besides, who said I'm going to get married?" She laughed, testing this one as she had the last one...better, but not as good at the one he'd trashed. "So I can be some pretty, daft thing to hang off his arm and scrape and curtsy and stroke his ego?" She set the bow aside and turned to look at the hooded bandit. She wasn't afraid of him here, the market was very busy, he couldn't hurt her without drawing attention. "Or, so that he can make all my decisions for me, while I wait around his bedchambers and pop out his heirs?"
She folded her arms over her chest, looking up at him plaintively. "Why, that sounds like ever so much fun. Why wouldn't anyone want that?" She asked sarcastically, before she turned and continued walking down the path of market stalls. She knew that women weren't supposed to care about all those things, that they were supposed to enjoy being coddled and protected, they were supposed to like having their free will stripped of them. She knew she wasn't what a noblewoman was supposed to be like; but she didn't care.

No wonder she was some man's whore if this was the way she talked to men. She was lucky she looked so damn good in that dress or he would have wondered why the sheriff even bothered. Really, who wanted a woman who talked this much and though men were this sad? Maybe her trouble was she had not had a real man. Yeah! That was what she needed, for him to show her why men were such manly things.
He followed, her as she started walking and keep and eye on for a trap. Maybe she was bait? She'd made good bait, pretty women always did. "Really now little girl, with such sweet talking what is a man to think." They walked past a few guards who did not even do more then glance at her and not him. Bending low he spoke in a lower voice. "I have to wonder, sweet heart if you derived my message last night to your lover?"
