.:Name of Character:. Robb Cooper .:Alias:. Robb the Hoodlum .:Birth Date:. February 3, 1184 .:Age In 1192:. 8
.:Look:. Robb is somewhat on the skinny side, but not unusually so for a boy his age. He’s of average height for an eight year old, and growing all the time. He has fair skin with a light dusting of freckles and chocolate brown hair, worn a little on the longer side so it almost reaches his shoulders in some places. It’s almost always messy, regardless of his mother’s efforts to keep him looking presentable, and his eyes are dark brown. .:Height:. Still growing! .:Portrayed by:. Isaac Hempstead Wright
.:Basic Personality:.Robb is a very energetic and adventurous boy, very curious and almost fearless in his desire to satisfy that curiosity. This often gets him into trouble, as he can accidentally find out things he’s not supposed to know, and not having quite mastered the ability to hold his tongue when it’s important, he can sometimes reveal information without meaning to. He can also be a bit too gullible, willing to believe tall tales from unreliable sources and often trusting people far more easily than he should. He’s still quite innocent, for despite his best efforts to see the whole of the world, his mother has managed to shield him from the worst of life’s lessons…so far. Having inherited his mother’s stubborn streak, once he gets an idea into his head he’ll refuse to let it go until he’s seen it through to some kind of resolution, whether good or bad.
Robb is a rather likable little boy, still retaining enough of his youthful innocence to get away with most of his antics with just his impish smile and unrelenting optimism. He’s able to see the good in people, or maybe he just hasn’t learned how to see the bad yet. His mother instilled in him a strong sense of right and wrong, but after moving to the city, Robb can’t help but wonder why bad things happen to good people; like his grandfather. And since Robin Hood showed up, a hero doing what’s right even though the law is wrong, Robb can’t help but idolize the man, he wants to be just like him, help the poor by stealing from the rich! It all seems terribly exciting and heroic, and he just wants to help. He’s a clever boy, and learns quickly, and even picks up on things that others sometimes miss. .:Accents:. Lower class English
.:Alliance:. Robin of the Woods! .:Rank:. Peasant .:Wanted For:. General Mischief and Tomfoolery .: Special Skills:. Despite his young age, Robb has extensive knowledge of all the streets, alleys, and secret ways to get about Nottingham town, especially those that are too tight for a guard but just right for someone his size. He’s also quite a talented climber, surefooted and quick. .:Weapon Training:. Robb learned how to shoot a bow from his grandfather, but due to his small size and inexperience, he isn’t a very good shot just yet. But he’s always practicing in order to get better. He’s much better with a slingshot, however.
.:Birthplace:. Locksley, Nottinghamshire .:Family:. Mother: Marian Cooper (26) Father: (Allegedly) Simon Cooper (Deceased) Grandfather: Lucas Hart (Deceased) Uncle: Jacob Hart (24) .:History:. Robb was born during the bitter cold winter months, to a widowed mother living with her widowed father just trying to get by. They were always poor, but he was very much loved, and he was never unhappy. The first few years of his life were spent in Locksley, either being toted around on his mother’s hip or, as he got older, his grandfather’s shoulders. As soon as he could walk and talk, his grandfather started teaching him the basics of hunting, grilling into him all the important skills and things he would need to know in order to provide for his own family one day. Lucas was a very fair-minded man, and he taught Robb all about balance, and not taking more than you needed to, so that everyone could survive. And survive they did. Unfortunately, Lord Thomas didn’t.
Robb didn’t know much about noble politics, but he did know that life got harder after that. The Sheriff of Nottingham took over the care of the Locksley Estate after that, and taxes rose. On top of that, shortly after he took over, he caught Robb’s grandfather doing what he’d always done, hunting, and charged him with poaching in the King’s forests. He lost a hand for that, and could no longer hunt to make a living, so their family became more reliant on his mother’s wages as Lady Vivian’s handmaiden. They were fortunate that Lady Vivian was kind, and even with their dwindling funds she saw to it that Marian and her son were looked after, especially after his grandfather became ill and passed away. He’s not sure what all prompted their moving away from their home in Locksley, but he accepted it with enthusiasm.
The city was so big and exciting for a curious little boy, and he took the change well, easily making new friends and eager to explore the city. His mother still tries to protect him from everything, but without a lot of coin to pay others to look after him, and in a place where she doesn’t have many people she trusts, more often than not he’s left alone to look after himself, and that’s the way he likes it. He enjoys wandering where he’s not supposed to, and lately, he’s been quite taken with the idea of tracking down Robin Hood and his men, and trying to help them! He wants to make something of himself, and prove to his mother that he’s not just a little boy who needs looking after anymore.
