About the Canons
Thinking of adopting one of our fine canon characters? Great! See below for inside information on each of them. Most of these details are negotiable, just PM this account to discuss any changes you would like!
Nobles
Princess Isabel
Only nineteen years old and married to the Prince, Princess Isabel is troubled by her seeming inability to produce an heir for her lordly husband. The troubles of the people do not seem to concern her overly much.
She's involved in subplot #2!
Prince John
The tyrannical younger brother of our good King Richard, he has assumed contol of the kingdom since his brother's kidnap, and has been raising taxes above what the people can pay, and relying on local law enforcement to collect.
He's involved in subplot #2!
Sheriff William de Wendenal
The Sheriff of Nottingham, he's known for his ruthless methods when it comes to law enforcement and, in particular, the collection of taxes. Recently he's been encumbered by the efforts of the bandit known as Robin Hood, and has sworn to capture the bandit leader no matter what.
He's involved in subplot #1!
Lady Adela
Flirty and carefree, as any good noblewoman should be, Daniella is young, beautiful, empty-headed and gullible. She believes whatever the Sheriff or Sir Guy tells her, and she absolutely supports the Sheriff in his quest to stomp out banditry.
She's involved in subplot #2!
The Merry Men
John Little
Robin's second in command, John is also affectionately referred to as 'Little John' in reference to his gargantuan stature and massive strength. He's the muscleman of the merry men.
Will Scarlett
Still a teenager, Will is among the youngest of the merry men of Sherwood forest, but also amongst the best of them at swordplay.
He's involved in subplot #4!
Much the Miller's Son
Much joined the merry men after he was caught poaching deer by the Sheriff's men, an offense punishable by death. Robin and the others saved him from the sheriff's men, and he's been loyal to them ever since.
He's involved in subplot #3!
Friar Tuck
A man of God, rather than the church, he joined the outlaws after he tried to protest the high taxes and was ignored by the Sheriff and the Church alike. He's the conscience of the merry men.
Common Folk
Jacob Hart
The elder brother of Marian Cooper, she believes that her brother left to go to war with King Richard eight years ago. In truth, Jacob was too afraid to go to war and ran away instead, hiding his identity and taking odd jobs and even stealing to survive.
Sadie Tanner
A villager of Nottingham, Sadie has been on her own since her elder brother refused to pay the Sheriff's taxes, and lost his life as an example to the common people.
Angie
Very beautiful but very distant, Angie isn't one who will tell her story to just anyone. No one in the village knows that her mother is actually the witch they've grown to fear, Drizella. The high taxes don't seem to bother her; she has plenty of customers, and she doesn't care who they bow to, as long as they pay.
She's involved in subplot #3!
Lily Mason
Young and fearful, Lily doesn't dare to defy the Sheriff when he asks for tax money, even if it means an empty belly, night after night.
Sister Tabatha
Sent to Nottingham to look after the Chapel after Friar Tuck absconded, she does her best to keep the people hopeful in the worst of times, although the more she sees of the people of Nottingham's plight, the more she wonders if her prayers have no effect at all.
Drizella
A hermit claiming to be a witch who lives deep in the swamp, old Drizzy both terrifies and fascinates the townspeople, and she revels in it. While the people fear her as a dark sorceress, they also rely upon her herbal remedies, charms and sometimes even curses for their day to day lives. No one is really even sure if she is a witch or just a batty old lady, but their superstitions keep them from pursuing the matter. She is also the mother of Angie, although no one else knows that.
She's involved in subplot #2!
